Nestled in the heart of Kailua-Kona, the Kona Elks Lodge #2616 is more than a meeting place—it’s a beacon of aloha, compassion, and community service. Chartered in 1983, our lodge is a proud member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, carrying forward a legacy of patriotism, charity, and fellowship in service to the West Hawaii community.

Our members come from all walks of life, united by a shared desire to give back and uplift. We are veterans, educators, artists, first responders, parents, retirees, and small business owners—working together to make a lasting impact.

 

Some of our most cherished contributions include:

• Veterans Support: We honor those who have served through year-round outreach, assistance programs, and community events. From care packages to meals and ceremonies, we ensure our heroes are remembered and respected.

• Youth Programs: Through scholarships, sports sponsorships, and our popular Hoop Shoot® contest, we invest in the future of our keiki. We encourage leadership, education, and confidence in Hawaii’s next generation.

• Local Charities & Food Drives: The Kona Elks Lodge regularly partners with food banks, shelters, and other non-profits to help meet the needs of families across the island—because no one should be left behind.

• Community Events & Fundraisers: From holiday meals and cultural celebrations to BBQ cook-offs and music nights, we create spaces for connection and joy while raising funds to support our outreach efforts.

• Environmental Stewardship: We are deeply committed to caring for our island home. Lodge members participate in beach cleanups, sustainability initiatives, and education about protecting Hawaii’s unique ecosystem.
